Survival, tactical and patriot related sites with active discussion groups.

  1. Assault Web - Primarily a shell for some very good discussion groups.  This is another non-commercial site that is supported by donations.  Many people involved with assault web discussion groups have contributed material for this site.   You can also use this page to jump directly to a few parts of Assaultweb.  Discussion forums, Contributions, membership and support.

Sites with discussion groups related to weapons and tactics

  1. Subguns.com - Probably the best source of information and contacts on the Internet for civilian legal ownership of machineguns and silencers.   Tom Bowers has created a shining example of first amendment freedom on the Internet.  Discussion forums includes links to ad boards that are updated hourly with more cool stuff from private sellers than anywhere else on the net.
  2. Snipercountry.com - One of the best resources on the net for snipers, wannabe snipers and precision shooters.
  3. http://tacticalforums.com - Contains numerous subforums usually related to various US armed forces and armed professions.   This one is frequented by some heavy hitters in the tactical publications and training community.  Several writers for SWAT magazine and people who run some of the more widely recognized training schools post there.   This has a fairly active forum for executive bodyguards and higher end private security personnel.   Note, skins and be thin and egos are big in this forum and most of the forum regulars feel well licensed to trash someone they don't like.   They also generally have little regard or tolerance for those who are openly survivalist, although the information and subject matter discussed in several parts of tacforums is highly relevant.   Some of the moderators and principal members at that site hate savvysurvivor.com and the writers here.   Still, tacforums remains a source of valuable information in a number of related subjects.

  4. http://www.sturmgewehr.com/ - This is where a lot of the people from Subguns.com ended up after Tom Bowers started charging money for people to post classified ads.   This is a diverse website with forums and some very active classified ad boards.

Sites with discussion groups related to specific brands or types of weapons and survival.

  1. AR15.com - A website entirely devoted to the AR15 rifle and its derivatives.  It has discussion groups with regular members who will be able to answer any question you might have about these weapons.  This site also has several commercial links to companies that can sell you just about any parts or accessories for AR15 compatible guns along with complete rifles.  Click here to jump to the discussion forums.
  2. HK91.com - A website dedicated to HK small arms and their derivatives.   Contains informative discussions on these technically unique firearms that are often the calling card of elite military and police forces.  This website is not as active as others.
  3. HKPRO.com - Another website with active discussion groups pertaining to HK small arms.  This one is operated by a business that supplies HK weapons to law enforcement and government agencies.
  4. http://ar15forums.net/ An alternate AR15 related site generally used when AR15.com is down.

Sites with political discussions

Firearms retailers and wholesalers - note that several restrictions may apply to the actual purchase of items from these sellers.  Click here for more details and use your browser's BACK button to return.

Parts, accessory and gear retailers.

Lightfighter.com  - One of the happening places on the net for fans of high quality military gear.  Lightfighter is mostly at retail on pricing, but they usually also have everything available.   Forums at lightfighter tend to attract active military personnel from several countries and law enforcement people from the US.

http://www.PersonalArms.com/links/Directory.htm - Lots of your common and some less common "spy shop" items including some unusual weapons like a stun device disguised as a cell phone, various monitoring devices and 101 variants of mace and pepper spray.

http://www.PantherStunGuns.com/links/Directory.htm - A website specializing in stun guns.

http://www.DefenseMaster-Knives.com/links/Directory.htm - Lots of knives, mostly import stuff that will save you a trip to the flea market.

http://www.DefenseMaster-Swords.com/links/Directory.htm - Swords, mostly imports that you see in the various tourist shops and flea markets.   Reasonable prices that give you what you pay for.

Auction sites.

Ebay.com - The world's largest online auction site.  They have several restrictions on what sellers can make available, but you can still find a lot of what you are looking for by using their search engines.  Note, if you ever actually need to get a hold of them on the phone, they will avoid it.  You may be able to get through directly at these numbers

1-888-749-3229

Or snail mail At:

2145 Hamilton Avenue, # 350
San Jose, CA 95125

Yahoo Auctions - Less restrictive on what you can buy, but software glitches and a smaller number of sellers make this a number two site for online shoppers.

Tacticalauctions.com - a fledgling site devoted to auctions and sales of military and survival gear.

Travel Tickets - - Online airline ticket brokerage for US and international flights and travel packages.

http://subguns.biggerhammer.net/nonnfaad.cgi - Smaller than it used to be, but one of the places where you can pick up some items that are probably not locally available.
